| For purposes of Medicare reimbursement, speech pathologists cannot certify independently as outpatient therapy. They are one of the services reimbursable under that category. They are also one of the services, under the supervision of a physician, that is certifiable and reimbursable under the Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility category.
