| Psychiatric Technician: Colorado licenses psychiatric technicians with separate licenses in two specialty areas: care of the developmentally disabled and care of the mentally ill. Colorado has a mandatory psychiatric technician practice act which means that no one may practice as a psychiatric technician without a Colorado license. Must complete a state approved psychiatric training program to be eligible to take the licensing examination. |
