Michelle Hadwiger, Director of Global Business Development
Michelle Hadwiger leads OEDIT’s Global Business Development division, which is comprised of teams focused on the advanced industries; business analytics; business recruitment, retention, expansion; and international trade. Michelle also serves as OEDIT’s Deputy Director, supporting the organization’s leadership and strategy development.
Previously, Michelle worked for the City of Lakewood where she worked on real estate development projects, business recruitment and retention, and incentive negotiation. Prior to the City of Lakewood, Michelle worked at the Southeast Business Partnership, now known as the Denver South Economic Development Partnership. She was responsible for business attraction retention and the T-REX multi-modal project.
Michelle earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Colorado State University, and she completed the International Economic Development Council’s Certified Economic Development Program.
Sam Bailey, Senior Industry Development Manager
Sam Bailey serves as Senior Industry Development Manager focused on business recruitment, retention and expansion. His industry focus areas include Creative Industries, Food and Agriculture, Health and Wellness, and Tourism and Outdoor Recreation. In addition, Sam oversees Colorado InSite, Colorado’s statewide GIS map that promotes sites, buildings, infrastructure, business resources and prospect management across all 64 counties.
Sam joined OEDIT in May of 2011 as a Global Business Development Specialist focused primarily on business attraction and the $2.7 million Colorado First and Existing Industry Job Training Program. Sam transitioned to Business Development Manager, supporting recruitment and expansion efforts across Colorado. During that time, he also served as Program Director for Colorado Companies to Watch, a public-private partnership focused of recognizing high-growth 2nd-stage companies.
Sam earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Regis University.
