If you will be returning a salvaged vehicle to roadworthy condition and sell to the PUBLIC, you must obtain a Used Dealers License; or if to a DEALER, you must obtain a Wholesalers Dealers license.
The special designation on the certificate of title for a salvage vehicle that has been made roadworthy must read "REBUILT FROM SALVAGE".
NOTE:  An owner, dealer, or collector must keep a register of all persons from whom junk dealer purchases copper, aluminum or magnesium. Information should include name, address, date of birth, driver's license number (if any), license plate number, description of vehicle or conveyance, and date and place of purchase. Such materials must be "held" for no less than 5 working days during which time they must be made available for law enforcement inspections. Exceptions: 1) transactions of less than 25 pounds, 2) recyclable cans and 3) materials purchased from a regulated public utility or original manufacturer of scrap. (18-13-111, C.R.S.)
