| The State does not provide nor regulate Radon Testing. The Radiation Management Unit's Radon program responds to telephone inquiries from the public, contracts with Colorado counties to provide technical assistance and project management for radon projects, and contracts with the Western Regional Radon Training Center at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs to develop and deliver courses throughout the state.

| The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) operates a certification program for individuals offering radon measurement and mitigation services to the general public. NEHA's purpose is to provide a listing of individuals who have been qualified through a process of education and examination (and through periodic performance checks and continuing education requirements) to provide high quality radon services.
