| The Division of Financial Services regulates certain financial activities of life care institutions, which provide long-term residence and care for the elderly. Any person or entity that desires or intends to act in the capacity of a life care institution must notify the Commissioner, in writing, at least 90 days prior to the execution of the initial life care contract or the receipt of any consideration. The Division may initiate enforcement action against violations of the law by life care providers. (12-13-101 through 118, C.R.S.) |
