Gov. John Hickenlooper today joined the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade and local business leaders to announce the launch of a $3 million program that will assist Colorado’s long-term unemployed in getting back to work.
Funds are still available for the Advanced Industry Investment Tax Credit. The deadline for online applications is Dec. 31, 2014. The Advanced Industry Investment Tax Credit is designed to stimulate private sector capital formation by rewarding local investors for taking equity stakes in start-up companies with high growth potential. The program targets technology sectors with a strong presence in Colorado, and is complementary to the Advanced Industry Acceleration grant program.
