DENVER - Wed., July 2, 2014 - The Colorado Small Business Development Center Network (SBDC) will host the 5th Annual Southwest Colorado Women's Small Business Conference on Thursday, July 24 at Fort Lewis College in Durango. This annual event features a day full of training sessions, one-on-one consulting, local resources for female entrepreneurs, and networking. Roxane White, Chief of Staff to Governor John Hickenlooper, will be the keynote speaker. She will discuss how she learned to "lean-in" and successfully climb the ladder to become Gov. Hickenlooper's "right-hand man."
This conference is offered annually in Durango to help increase the sustainability and success of women-owned businesses throughout the region. The event promises to give female entrepreneurs new skills and insights in strategic planning, organizational processes, connectivity, marketing and more.
